Learning through Music
- Learning Through Music (LTM) is the flagship program of Manzil Mystics. which has been taught in over 50 schools since 2012. We have conducted more than 2,000 workshops since the program’s inception. In these programs, we teach children and adults how to express their hopes, ideas, happiness, angers and frustration through music. LTM workshops are structured in a way to induce team-building, nurture creativity and build confidence
- The participants learn how to sing write and compose songs, and we design our music activities in a way that they also learn Life Skills, Value Education, Social Skills, Reproductive Health, Menstrual Hygiene, Spoken English, Gender Education and History
- Customized curriculum as per batch size and time available across the academic year makes each center unique. Our compositions are of a socially-aware and responsible nature. Thus, students imbibe a socially responsible outlook since a young age related to gender inequality, world peace, solving personal disputes and inclusion
- LTM is often the first exposure of students to music, and many continue to engage with music as a hobby. A hobby like music is something to fall back on- during times of grief, music is proven to keep teenagers from engaging in harmful and anti-social activities. Numerous LTM students have also taken music up as a profession and are doing very well! Some current members of Manzil Mystics are ex-LTM students (batch of 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016)

School attendance and grades of students who underwent LTM workshops markedly increased within one year of enrollment when compared to the student’s performance in previous years and the performance of peers in non-LTM classes
Our lessons of life skills, spoken English, value education and social skills often make deep-lasting impacts on the personality and outlook of students
The overall hygiene and manners of the class improved as students of LTM from lower socioeconomic environments, including the streets and slums of Delhi, have developed a multitude of positive practices and habits including washing their hands, combing their hair, speaking politely, convincing their parents to go to school and respecting other’s feelings
